Dopo il grande successo della prima edizione torna, in occasione della Milano Design Week 2018, Isola Design District.
Botteghe artigiane, location nascoste e cortili privati del quartiere torneranno ad aprirsi per ospitare giovani designer e brand emergenti, con mostre, installazioni, workshop ed eventi dal 17 al 22 Aprile.
Anche quest’anno l’evento sarà caratterizzato da una forte presenza internazionale, grazie all’adesione di designer provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. A fare da collante tra le esposizioni sarà il tema, definito in due parole, Rethinking Materials. L’obiettivo dell’organizzazione è infatti quello di mettere in mostra progetti che abbiano evidenziato la versatilità di determinati materiali: utilizzandoli per la prima volta in quest’ambito, con un’applicazione diversa da quella tradizionale o con un focus sull’ecosostenibilità.
Gli spazi di Stecca 3.0, in Via De Castillia 26, saranno l’Headquarter del distretto, con l’info point principale, la press lounge dedicata alla stampa, esposizioni collettive, installazioni all’aperto, una zona food & beverage ed eventi quotidiani fino alle 24:00, a partire dall’opening previsto per Martedì 17 Aprile.

After the great success of the first edition, during Milan Design Week 2018Isola Design District will be back.
Artisan’s labs, hidden locations and private courtyards of the neighborhood will open again to host young designers and emerging brands, with exhibitions, installations, workshops and events from 17 to 22 April.
Also this year the event will feature a strong international presence, thanks to the participation of designers coming from all over the world. The main theme, defined in two words, is Rethinking Materials. In fact, the organization’s goal is to showcase projects that have highlighted the versatility of certain materials: using them for the first time in this field, with an application different from the traditional one or with a focus on eco-sustainability .
Stecca 3.0 building, on Via De Castillia 26, will be the district Headquarter, with the main info point, a press lounge dedicated to the journalists, collective exhibitions, outdoor installations, a food & beverage area and daily events up to at 24h00, starting from the opening event scheduled for Tuesday, April 17th.
